This Thanksgiving weekend we spent the holiday in Moorestown, NJ with the Rozelles. This was the first time we had seen their new digs, and we had a relaxing, fun weekend with them. We drove up on Thanksgiving Day, with a little more traffic than we had anticipated.

Howie got sick in his bed on the way up, and it was really falling apart, so this was the last straw to us tossing it. Here is the new one he got during a Black Friday deal when Jeff and Mike went out to Pet Smart. Suffice it to say, it was a hit.
This really was SUCH a fun Thanksgiving weekend. One of the perks of living so close to the Rozelles!
Crossing the Delaware Bridge- I love bridges!
Upon arriving, Jovie immediately started playing with her cousins and never stopped. It was so wonderful to have them all together, and really a nice break for Mike and I as the Rozelle girls are old enough and responsible enough to be trusted to hang out for extended periods of unsupervised time.
Such cuties!
Our family on Thanksgiving Day
We spent a low key afternoon preparing a yummy dinner.
Jeff carving the turkey he made all by himself- with some watchful eyes upon him.
The lovely Thanksgiving table
Thanksgiving dinner was sooo good! Really. Really. Good.
Participants: Rozelles, Traylors and Jeff's boss.
Jovie LOVES Biscuit. He was such a good dog all weekend. He tolerated her and Howie in his house. He seemed to even enjoy old Howie!
Friday morning, Auntie Tiff made her waffles for us! She always does this when we come for the weekend. And we always love it.
On Friday, the Rozelles showed us Moorestown. Super Cute!
LaVita's pizza for lunch - can't beat $.99 for a slice of New York-style cheese pizza!
True New York -style eating
Lots of fun at Fullerton playground!

That night we went into Philly to watch Franklin Square's Electrical Spectacle. It was chilly, but we had so much fun watching the light shows, playing on the playground, eating some yummy food-truck cheese curds and just being in the city lit up for Christmas.
The lights were in the shape of Ben Franklin's kite
Jovie wanted to be really close to the carousel, but had no interest in riding.
Watching one of the light shows (every half-hour)
During the last one, Jovie and Annie danced around quite a bit. So cute to watch!
Snuggling back at the Rozelles
Warm Apple Cider!
On Saturday, we went to Smith's Memorial Playground in Fairmount Park. The playground is huge, and we all had lots of fun playing like kids.
Going down the wooden slide on gunny sacks
One of the favorites from the weekend- looks like rigamortis is setting in!
Almost totally up-side down on the up swing
More wooden slide
Rozelle family race down the slide
Perhaps THE favorite Rozelle pic of all time.
Spinning!

Saturday playing with Uncle Jeff
Opening Annie's birthday presents and Jovie's Christmas presents from the Rozelles
Anna's birthday cupcakes
After celebrating Annie's birthday, the four adults went to a yummy brewery for a fun, adults-only dinner. As much as I enjoyed the heart-warming all family meals throughout the week, it was great to end with a double date. This really was SUCH a fun Thanksgiving weekend.
