Jovie's First Camping Trip

We decided to take Jovie on her first camping trip to Sky Meadows State Park on Thursday, October 16th.  It was super fun, and she loved it!

Hiking to our campsite
 So excited!

Once we got to our campsite, we didn't see anyone else until we left that morning.  And, it was just a worker near the front of the park.  We had the whole park to ourselves that night!
After dinner, Daddy tried to start a fire.  However, it had rained so much the previous couple days, it didn't work.  We got into the tent, and it started to sprinkle a little.  It rained off and on at night, but nothing major.  Pretty nice, actually.

Jovie loved the tent.  She fell asleep almost immediately.
Mike and I heard coyotes that night, and saw some big beautiful stars.

Morning!

 Hiking back to the car
On our hike back, we heard the coyotes again, and Jovie got to see them.  We saw some deer, too.
 Jovie loved the "map".

Taking a break on the hike back. We were a little sleepy.
Once we got back to the car, we went for breakfast at Cracker Barrel and then to Shenandoah for a little bit.   Here we are at Shenandoah.
We went for a little hike

Stopped at some overlooks to eat a little picnic and enjoy the beautiful fall weather and colors.

Successful first camping trip!
