This spring visit from Grandma Susie and Grandpa Chick hit the cherry blossom bloom, since it was so late. The Friday they arrived was beautiful, and we went to the Tidal Basin around dinner. It wasn't too crowded, and it was a bit past peak, so there were lots of petals on the ground. So pretty. And the weather was perfect. We took lots of pictures!
The whole evening, Jovie was obsessed with pushing the stroller
Stopping for a raisin and cracker snack - we were pushing our luck going during dinner time!
Petals in the water, scaffolding on the monument
Snuggles
Taking a ride with Daddy
Guess who we ran into?! (Also taking Grandma and Grandpa to see the blossoms)
Grandpa's turn!
Squeezer-squeeze for Daddy
Saturday morning
We went to Eastern Market - Jovie got a balloon!
(I like the face on the little girl in the background)
Whee!
Playing at the little turtle park after walking around the market
After her nap, Grandma and Grandpa took Jovie to the park while Mommy and Daddy prepared a dinner of cucumber salad and grilled hamburgers.
Bye, Mom and Dad!
Picking dandelions with Grandpa
Sunday morning while Mommy and Daddy were at church, Grandma and Grandpa took her to the park again
After church and the post-church nap, we went to Gravelly Point
Waving to airplanes
Learning to blow dandelion spores
Just bein' cute
Grandma loves to go to Crave, so we got some frozen yogurt on Sunday night.
Happy spring!
