... I like the funny things you do." OK, so that's a line from a Sprite commercial, for those of you that remember. But it applies here. Jovie does so many cute and funny things, and we want to remember them. She is growing up so fast! I now understand why parents say this so much. Every day we find a new fat roll. :)
At six weeks old she:
- Sometimes fights sleep (maybe not so funny) :)
- Startles whenever Mike coughs, no matter what she's doing. Does it make us bad parents that we think this is funny?
- Sticks her tongue out a lot when playing - she really tries hard to talk!
- Stretches like a little monkey when she's waking up, and makes really funny faces and noises
- Squints and makes funny faces in bright light
- Tries so hard to reach for toys, and sometimes she gets them! Especially her favorite toys: the turtle on the toy bar of her bouncy seat and her owl.
- Tries to sit up
- Smiles and laughs more and more often
- Follows us with her eyes, and even makes eye contact sometimes
- Seems to be learning her name
- Recognizes Mommy and Daddy's voices
- Grabs at clothes and blankets and holds onto handfuls
- Imitates our facial expressions; especially our eyebrows and tongue
- Has quite the temper sometimes (which isn't always funny and really won't be later in life, eh?) and quite the adorable pouting face
- Loves to watch hands and the cubby frames on the wall
- Has fun playing peek-a-boo
- Likes her baths now (and we like her fuzzy, clean head after her bath) :)
- Doesn't love kisses so much, sometimes
We love our Jovie!
