Halloween

Jovie had lots of fun celebrating Halloween this year.  I mean, free candy?!  It's like the day was invented in honor of Jovie.

First, she had her Halloween party and parade at school.  The kids dressed up, did a lap around the sanctuary for the parents, same songs, and then went up to their classroom for a party.

My sparkly blue butterfly in front of her school.

The parade and performance-so cute!

Then, of course, there's pumpkin carving.  Jovie wanted to help scoop out the pulp this year.  :)

We are pretty happy with the finished product.  Jovie's pumpkin was all her ideas and creation.

Then, the best part- trick-or-treating!  In NJ, each town has different times to trick-or-treat.  So, Jovie got to go with Allie in the afternoon and with Anna at night.  She got TONs of candy and walked lots of miles.
Ready to go!
Friends out on the town

Cousins!  (Anna was a Candy "Rapper"- clever, eh!?)

Grandma and Grandpa come to NJ

Grandma Susie and Grandpa Chick came to NJ this lovely October weekend.  They arrived on Wednesday, and stayed with the Rozelles.  So Wednesday evening, we went to the Rozelles and they grilled. It was the only day Jeff was with us, as he had a work trip.

Thursday, they came here to our house, Mike made breakfast, and then took them (and Jovie) to Valley Forge.  I had work calls the whole day, so couldn't participate in the fun.

On Friday, after I worked, we went to the Rozelles and ordered pizza and ate dinner together.

On Saturday, we had a day packed with fall fun!  We went to Linvilla Orchards, picked apples, pumpkins, ate snacks, saw lots of animals.  Then came back to our house, played and rested for a couple hours, then ate chili that had been cooking in the crockpot all day- yum!  We ended the day with s'mores.  This was the first day we really took pictures.

Jovie got lots of rides from her lovely cousins, which helped us out a lot!
It was a perfect fall night for s'mores.

On Sunday, we went to Wissahickon Park in Philly in the late morning.  It was gorgeous!  The whole weekend was pretty great weather, actually.  We had fun walking in the park and enjoying the fall weather.  Then we went back to Haddon Heights and ate brunch at the Station House.  We parted ways and laid low for the rest of the day.

Jovie took this picture- not bad at all!

There was a spot on the trail where we went down the stairs to this little dam- it was gorgeous!  A beautiful spot to get right down to the creek level.

Back up on the main trail- I love to take pictures like this in the fall.  Looking up never disappoints in the fall.
Daddy pushing the stroller so Jovie could catch the falling leaves.
Checking out the eggs in the water

It was a packed weekend full of fun activities for the fall, and we enjoyed some exploring of our own, as we get used to our new digs.
