The Mini Nutcracker

This year, some of us took our girls to the mini Nutcracker.  It's an event that the high school-aged ballet classes (at Ruth's ballet studio) put on for little ones.  It's just under an hour, and the audience is full of little ones.  It's so fun!  So, we went to Silver Spring.

Here are the girls in their theater seats
 Jovie and Mama
Watching intently- when asked what her favorite part was, every time Jovie answered that it was the rat king.
The girls did a great job in the theater.  But, they were clearly getting hungry by the end.  So, we all went to Panera when the performance was over.  After full bellies, we got lots of smiles from ring-around-the-rosey pictures.  We think that ring-around-the-rosey in the open space in Panera was their favorite part of the day...

Then we went to the lobby of Ruth's ballet studio, sat in the sleigh and hugged the Nutcracker.

Jovie also danced with the Nutcracker
Outside was a Christmas tree where you can press the buttons and various musical instruments play on the tree.
It was a fun day in Silver Spring with friends.
