They arrived late, but Tiff and I snuck down to see Jovie and somehow woke her up. She never wakes up when Mike and I go up and down the stairs all night. But this time, she woke up. She must have known there was a party upstairs! So, we let her come up to see her cousins for the first time in months! She loved it, but it was really a fight to get her back to sleep. The other girl in this picture is Molly's friend, Laurel, who's super sweet! Jovie loved her, too.
On Saturday morning, we got bread from the bakery and Auntie Tiff shared it with Jovie, making a friend for life! Jovie, you should know something - Auntie Tiff doesn't share her bread with just anyone...
Jovie had a ton of fun playing with Molly, Anna and Laurel in her room all morning. They all had a blast. Lots of laughter and squeals coming from the basement.
After her morning nap, we ate lunch at Chicken Out, and then went to the National Mall. It was a hot day, but Laurel had never been to D.C., so we went the tourist route.
We stopped at the Hiershorn Sculpture Garden, and walked around a bit. Here's a picture of the girls by the fountain.
Uncle Jeff photo-bombing the picture. :)

Admiring the art and being a subject herself
Touching the pretty trees with Uncle Jeff
Aunt Tiff and the girls took Jovie on her first Merry-go-Round ride!
She never cried, but clung to Tiff the whole time. She wasn't so sure...
Big Girl!!
The whole gang along the Mall
We went to the American History Museum to escape the crazy heat. Annie watched The Wizard of Oz on the car ride to DC, so the real ruby slippers had meaning to her!Mike took Jovie home for a late afternoon nap, and the rest of us walked up to the Washington Monument so Laurel could get a good view of all the monuments.
Here's Tiff and Anna next to the Washington with the Lincoln in the background.

Rain is coming...
And indeed it did! So, we made a dash for the American Indian Museum. All the museums were closed, but I knew where the good awning was to keep us dry-ish. :)
A wet bunch
Dancing in the rain!
After we got home and took our turns taking showers, the girls played with Jovie downstairs again. This series of pictures doesn't show how much fun Jovie had playing with the girls all weekend - she's tough to get to sit still these days...
The ipod kept her from crying, but she still didn't pose.
The Rozelles left Sunday morning before church to head down to Myrtle Beach. We're so glad they came, and we're looking forward to their stop on the way back up!
