Celebrating with the Rozelles

On a Saturday in December, we had a low key celebration with the Rozelles where we ate together and then opened presents.  It was fun to hang out together.

We also ended up spending Christmas Eve together, since the Rozelles ended up staying in town for a while since Baby Sister hadn't arrived yet.  There are no photos, but we went to the all-church Christmas Eve service at a COH location in Philly, and then went back to the Rozelles for dinner.

"I call him that for short"

Jovie and I were looking at a hidden picture Bible story book together yesterday.  Lions are her favorite animal, and so she picked out the Daniel picture immediately.  She said, "Let's do the Dan and the lion's den picture!" I said, "Honey, his name is Daniel,"  She said, "I call him Dan for short."

Celebrating Christmas with Grandma Susie and Grandpa Chick

All through December, we celebrated Christmas with different parts of our family as they came to us.  First was Grandma Susie and Grandpa Chick.

Jovie spent some of her own money on Christmas presents for grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.  She was very proud to give the presents to them.

She was pretty excited to open her own, too.
In the afternoon, we drove to New Hope, hoping for Christmas decorations.  Not so much, but it was still lovely.

We came home, ate dinner, and then Jovie opened her stocking.  She loved it!

Merry Christmas!

November 2015

Some random pictures of our November.

I take Amtrak a lot between Philly and DC, and there are some really pretty spots along the way!

11/13/15- Jovie LOVES to be the show-and-tell person at school.  This time the letter was "N", so she chose a nightlight.

This year's pre-school pictures

A day of art!  Jovie loves to do all kinds of art.

Christmas Tree Decorating

As is our annual tradition, we put up our Christmas tree at the end of Thanksgiving weekend.  It's always a fun way to welcome the Christmas Season at the Traylor house.

Thanksgiving Weekend

The Hoberts joined us in NJ this year for Thanksgiving, and it was a fun-filled weekend.  After dinner at the Rozelles on Wednesday evening, Thursday started off with the Moorestown Turkey Trot.  Everyone participated except Jeff, Jovie, Kristy and Molly. Molly and Jeff volunteered at the race.

After getting all cleaned up, we went to the Rozelles for what is becoming our traditional dinner.  And it's super yummy!  Jeff and Mike typically find a new way to cook the turkey and experiment with it.  Mike tests out a new appetizer.  And, we all make yummy sides.  It was just as fun and delicious this year.

This year, Jovie was super fascinated by the turkey.  Really, everyone is.

Sitting around the beautiful table, enjoying food and each other.

The day was also filled with lots of playing with cousins

On Friday, everyone went to the beach since it was a gorgeous day!  (Kristy didn't go as she had brunch plans with a friend in town.)  Looks like lots of fun, eh?!

Friday evening, we celebrated Christmas with the Hoberts since we wouldn't be going to OH this year (too close to the arrival of Baby Sister!).  Barrington does a Christmas fire truck parade, and it goes right by our house.  So fun!

Loud, but fun!

After the parade, we walked over to Sweetie Pie Boom Boom (Barrington's bakery) to the cupcake bar.

On Saturday, half of the crowd did a cheese-steak crawl through Philly.

The other half went to Haddonfield to leisurely walk around, shop. and watch Kelly take Molly's senior pictures.  :)

One of the spots was a gorgeous courtyard of an Episcopal Church.  Aunt Tiffy and Jovie had lots of fun playing and exploring.

Car shenanigans

On Saturday night, the kids stayed at the Rozelles and ordered pizza.  The adults all went out to dinner at Maurizio in Moorestown.  Yummy!

In the evening we tried lots and lots of places for desserts,  We failed at getting a table at all of them, so ended up at a hotel restaurant.  We laughed a LOT!  It was a fun weekend.
