Memorial Day Weekend with the Rozelles

The Rozelles came to spend the weekend with us over Memorial Day.  It was a pretty nice weekend (May has been pretty nice, overall!), so we spent most of it outside.

They arrived the afternoon of the 26th, and Jovie showed them her bike skills and fav neighborhood playground.

After church and nap on Sunday, we went to Georgetown.  Playing in the fountains!

Mother's Day

Mother's Day was a lovely day!  Our group of friends all met at Oronoco Bay Park after church for a picnic. Lots of fun ensued.  Kite flying, playing in the sand, eating on blankets in the sun, chatting, and just a generally good time.  Here are some pics of the good-looking group!

Happy Mother's Day!

Visit from Aunt Julie!

Aunt Julie came to town from May 3 - 8, and, as always, it was lots of fun!

We went to River Farm for the morning.  It used to be part of the Mount Vernon Estate, but it's free admission with a delightful children's garden, some lovely other gardens, and just a great place to enjoy a pretty view of the Potomac!
